Since their formation in 2007, Alice Through the Windshield Glass have been ruthlessly fusing technical-death metal with hardcore to develop their own savage deathcore hybrid.
The bands EP ‘Keep Your Eyes on the Road’ is a snapshot of the ever evolving style of this unique band. Released in mid 2009, this recording is an unapologetic introduction, unleashing a gamut of modern death metal creations from this Sydney five-piece.
Their sound is unmerciful, their attitude, a parody of the musical ‘scenes’ around them, yet, these 5 original band members are deathly serious about their craft.
Guitarists Grant Eidintas and Adrian Sahid’s strive for genre defying excellence is evident from their down-tuned blitzkrieg of riffs, the skillful guitar licks and towering clean melodies. Rob Anderson on bass completes the undertones of riff complexities, whilst cementing the unrelenting beat as laid out by drummer Tim Cetin. Bass explosions and Cetin’s onslaught of precision blast beats complete the Alice Through the Windshield Glass wall of sound. The vocals of this beast are laid out in the aural assault of Dave Stanton. With guttural growls and intense screams, the lyrical content is set in stark contrast to their tongue-in-cheek song titles.
Since their EP tour in 2009, the band have been forging a blistering path through Sydney’s live music scene. Whether it be the wicked grooves, melody driven break downs or absolute ferocity of their sets, Alice Through the Windshield Glass are certain to entertain.
In 2010, Alice Through the Windshield Glass signed a management and booking deal with Assidian, an Australian Heavy Metal Management and Bookings Agency.
From late 2010 to early 2011, Alice Through the Windshield Glass will be touring the Australian east coast with fellow Assidian bands Ignite the Ibex and Elysian. During the Harbingers of Storm Tour the band joined the ranks of Carnifex (USA) and Darkest Hour (USA) with a performance at the Wagga Open Air Festival. Eager to unveil new tracks from their anticipated first full length album 'Brutalis Australis,' these purveyors of public brutality are set on a path for domination.
After a strong, fruitful year with Assidian, Alice is now a free agent, being booked by Recover Agency, a label that needs no introduction. ATTWG will be building momentum completing the debut Album "Brutalis Australis" and playing a few key shows in the leadup.
Watch out... Alice Is on a rampage
